Well, I've been a bit lax in updating for the last few weeks. I've been very busy putting the finishing touches on the Moodle class that will accompany next year's regular video curriculum. Having students work on some online classwork at the same time as they work together in projects will create a stronger backbone for the class and hopefully keep it focused in the difficult winter months when we are trapped inside. The coursework will also address some of the more advanced techniques that we don't formally teach in class. Some of the students are already going through some of the units, just to make sure that everything works as it should. In the meantime, I am putting together a new Film History class.
On Friday, Fayth and I did some off-site work at Saint Sabrina's Tattoos. Fayth is working hard on a doc that compares professional tattooing to "prison style" work. The shoot went well and I'm looking forward to seeing the footage.
If you've noticed a gap in out Hit the Couch schedule, it's because the Video for TV crew really wanted to produce a narrative of their own. They are in the planning stages of a Billy Madison style comedy about three losers who go back to school disguised as janitors.
We're still putting the final touches on The Last Draft - submissions keep coming in, but I'm going to draw the line soon!
Also, t-shirts for this years .edu FF are on the way! They will be for sale in the video room later this month.
That's all for this week. TW
